The John Cavin Endowed Scholarship in Engineering supports full-time students studying in the Bagley College of Engineering and is awarded year-to-year as the student progresses. By helping these students, the scholarship honors John, who blazed his own unique trail from Natchez to MSU and on to a successful career.

David Corban was born in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1965 and lived in a number of rural towns across the South as a child. When it came time to attend college, he felt most at home at the alma mater of several family members: Mississippi State University.
